Yamaha Motor India recently posted a teaser on its social media handles, hinting at the probable launch of its 2023 R15 V4, MT-15 V2.0, and FZ-X in India. The short teaser video has disclosed details about a YouTube live on its official channel scheduled on 13 February, 11:30 AM. These updated models are likely to benefit from new colour schemes and a handful of additional features, along with BS6 2.0-compliant engines.

2023 Yamaha R15 V4: New TFT dash, LED blinkers, and new colours

The most significant highlight of the upcoming 2023 R15 V4 is likely to be a new colour TFT instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity. Not only will it show the odometer, rev counter, fuel gauge, and gear position indicator, but will also display a trip meter, quick shifter and traction control signs, phone battery level indicator, and digital clock, among others. Another important change could be in the form of all four LED indicators as standard. Meanwhile, the 2023 R15 V4 is expected to be available in the new colour schemes. In fact, it is believed that the motorcycle will benefit from the Aggressive Grey paint job offered on the newly launched R15 in Indonesia.

The refreshed R15 V4 is likely to retain the same 155cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder motor delivering 18.4PS and 14.2Nm of torque. Notably, Yamaha is said to update the engine to meet BS6 stage 2 norms. Interestingly, the new Indonesia-spec R15 makes an additional 1PS (19.3PS) than the India-spec model, while the torque output is rated at 14.7Nm.

2023 Yamaha MT-15 V2.0: LED indicators and dual-channel ABS

The upcoming 2023 MT-15 V2.0 will comply with BS6 stage 2 norms, as a leaked RTO document has already confirmed the news. However, the key highlight of the updated streetfighter is expected to be LED blinkers and dual-channel ABS as standard. Notably, the on-sale MT-15 V2.0 is available with a halogen indicator, whereas LED units are offered as an optional extra. Additionally, it comes with a single-channel ABS.

Moreover, Yamaha is likely to offer a few new paint options with the 2023 MT-15 V2.0. Powering the updated naked motorcycle would probably be the same 18.4PS and 14.1Nm of torque.

2023 Yamaha FZ-X: Refreshed design and new colours

The upcoming 2023 Yamaha FZ-X has already been spotted at a dealership. While the neo-retro style bike retains its overall design, a new version with a windscreen, a Himalayan-style metal frame, and a front fender positioned below the headlight could be on the cards. In addition, the spy shots also revealed golden rims on the motorcycle, like the R15 V4. Given that, for the 2023 model year, Yamaha may offer two distinctive versions of the FZ-X.

The BS6 stage 2-compliant Yamaha FZ-X is expected to be powered by the same 149cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled motor that makes 12.4PS and 13.3Nm of torque as the outgoing model. Currently, this engine comes mated to a five-speed gearbox.
