The mighty SUV from BMW has finally gotten the update that it needed. The 2023 BMW X7 has been revealed, and it has a sharper front face, a revised rear profile, more power in the basic form and a redesigned cockpit with a wide variety of innovative technologies thanks to the latest iDrive 8 infotainment system from BMW.

2023 BMW X7: Exterior

In comparison to the traditional BMW X7 headlights, the 2023 BMW X7 has split LED headlamps that seem sleek and eye-catching. For full-size BMW cars, this dual-headlamp design concept represents a new standard. The headlights are located further down on the bumper, while the slim LED daytime running lights are located at the hood line. The trademark kidney grilles have been altered as well, with darker slats and chrome edging.

The BMW X7 also comes with 23-inch wheels for the first time on a BMW vehicle. The standard wheels on the xDrive40i are 21 inches, while the M60i has 22-inch alloys. The top-of-the-line variant also comes with 23-inch BMW Individual light-alloy wheels.

2023 BMW X7: Engines

The 3.0-litre inline-six engine and the 4.4-litre twin-turbocharged V8 motor are both available in the 2023 BMW X7, as they were last year.  Both engines in the new BMW X7 feature a 48-volt mild-hybrid system. The basic inline-six has been tweaked to provide an extra 40 horsepower and 70 Nm of torque. This results in a total output of 380PS horsepower and 519 Nm of torque.

The BMW X7 xDrive40i can accelerate from 0 to 100kmph in 5.6 seconds with this power and torque upgrade.

2023 BMW X7: Interior

The inside of the BMW X7 has also been majorly updated. A 14.9-inch digital instrument panel and a 12.3-inch infotainment unit have been combined into a single curved display. It also comes with the BMW Operating System 8 pre-installed. The air vents and controls have been reworked to be more compact and streamlined.

The BMW X7 range in India currently starts from Rs 1.18 crores and goes up to Rs 1.78 crores.
