BMW has revealed the facelifted 2023 BMW 3-Series sedan. The luxury vehicle's highlights include a redesigned exterior and a renovated cabin with a number of tech-based features, including a 5G connection.

However, the mid-cycle upgrade for BMW's most popular sedan does not include new powertrains. The updated BMW 3 Series is expected to arrive in India next year, potentially in early or mid-2023.

2023 BMW 3-Series - Exterior

In comparison to the outgoing model, the 2023 BMW 3-Series sedan has LED headlights with integrated LED daytime running lights. The notches on the bottoms of the lights have been removed, as have the accompanying sharp body lines. The corner vents have been altered to have an L form. In comparison to the previous generation, the trademark kidney grille seems larger and cleaner and the all-black vertically slated design lends assertiveness to the sedan.

The BMW 3 Series will ride on 17-inch light-alloy wheels in 2023. The new BMW 3 Series features a greater proportion of body-coloured surfaces in the rear, with a clean-cut design that gives it a particularly elegant appearance. The rear's breadth and strong attitude are emphasized by horizontal lines, thin light units, and flared rear wheel arches.

2023 BMW 3-Series - Engines

The standard 330i has a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces 255PS followed by the 330e plug-in hybrid with 288PS and the M340i with BMW's turbocharged 3.0-litre I6 engine that produces 382PS. BMW's xDrive all-wheel-drive technology is offered on the BMW 330e and BMW M340i, and 18-inch wheels are standard for 2023. All engines in the new BMW 3 Series come standard with an 8-speed Steptronic gearbox. The range-topping models come standard with BMW xDrive.

2023 BMW 3-Series - Interior

A large curved display has been added to the inside of the 2023 BMW 3 series, which flawlessly combines the driver instrument panel with the central multimedia display. The instrument cluster has a 12.3-inch digital display for the driver, while the centre has a 14.9-inch display.

Slimmer AC vents, repositioned temperature control features, and a relocated shift selector with a smaller toggle lever are among the other improvements. The iDrive system, which now runs on OS 8, has a smartphone-like look, voice command, and 5G connection for up to 10 devices, and is a centrepiece of the cabin.

The current BMW 3 series range starts from Rs 46.90 lakh onwards in India.
