2022 Toyota Glanza leaked ahead of March 15 debut
Ahead of the official debut of the 2022 Toyota Glanza on March 15, spy images have revealed the styling of the upcoming hatch in full. The Glanza continues to be very closely related to the new Maruti Suzuki Baleno that was recently launched although there is now a higher degree of visual differentiation.

These images show that the 2022 Toyota Glanza gets a different, more aggressively styled, front fascia from the new Baleno. The styling is influenced by the latest of Toyota's hatch offerings globally. This is seen with the winged front grille aperture and the chrome band above it. The bumper and air dam are more extroverted than the Baleno with the fanged design to the front lip, the large air dam and the chrome highlighted fog lamp surrounds. While the headlamps are similar in profile to the Baleno, there is different detailing and a new LED light signature.
There is no change to the sheet metal over the Baleno but there is a different design for the 16-inch alloy wheels. The rear remains largely identical to the new Baleno with the same C-shaped tail lamps and bumper.

A teaser video on the Toyota India website suggests the 2022 Toyota Glanza will get the new 9.0-inch Smartplay Pro touchscreen infotainment along with the new dash layout, although some differention is colours and textures can be expected. The standard climate control, as well as the head-up display from the Baleno, can also be expected, as well as cruise control and auto-dimming mirrors. Also expected are the six airbags and other safety features.
2022 Toyota Glanza engine, specifications, mileage
The 2022 Glanza will get the same 1.2-litre DualJet petrol motor as in the new Baleno, which puts out 90PS and 113 Nm. This should pair with a five-speed manual and AMT. The fuel efficiency figure should also remain very similar to the Baleno, so expect 22.35 kmpl for the MT and 22.94 kmpl for the AMT.
2022 Toyota Glanza expected price, rivals
The 2022 Toyota Glanza should be priced similarly to the Maruti Suzuki Baleno, but like before may come in only the higher variants. So expect prices to range between Rs 7.15 lakh and Rs 9.5 lakh. The Glanza will compete with the likes of the Hyundai i20, Honda Jazz, Tata Altroz and Maruti Suzuki Baleno.
