2020 BMW X6 SUV launched in India at Rs 95 lakh
BMW has launched the thrid generation BMW X6 in India at Rs 95 lakh, ex-showroom. The coupe-SUV is being brought in as a CBU, and is available with a single petrol engine option. Two trims: xLine and M Sport are available, priced identically.
The X6 is available in the xDrive40i variant. This version features a 3.0-litre inline-six turbo petrol engine that makes 340PS and 450 Nm. This will be paired to the ZF eight-speed automatic and AWD. The car accelerates from 0 -100 kmph in 5.5s and can reach a top speed of 250 kmph. Also standard is an adaptive 2-axle air suspension.
The xLine version comes with aluminium exterior trim in the grille, roof-rail, etc., grey body cladding and unique front bumper and alloys. The M Sport version is sportier to look at with high-gloss exterior trim, an M aero package, and larger alloy wheels. The M Sport also gets unique suspension tuning, brakes and exhaust system. On the inside, the M Sport also gets M-specific pedals, steering wheel and optional carbon-fibre trim elements. The X6 also offers the option of lighting the kidney grille.
Other notable features on the X6 are the twin 12.3-inch screen Drive infotainment system, an optional Harman/Kardon audio system, wireless charging, dynamic ambient lighting, panoramic sunroof, crystal elements on the centre console, BMW Laser lighting, four-zone climate control and HUD, among other things. Safety is well taken care of with at least 6 airbags, and BMW's trick 360-degree camera system. Also available is the reversing assistant and the self-park functionality. Alloy wheels are 20-inches in with optional 21-inchers available.
The xLine can be had in seven colour options while the M Sport can be had in two additional options. There are two further optional paint options available. The interior leather can be had in six colour tones.
The new BMW X6 competes with the Audi Q8 and the Porsche Cayenne.
