Bajaj Auto has added another variant to the Discover series and this time it's a 100cc. Called 100M, the new Discover comes in both drum and disc brake options and is priced at Rs 46,000 and Rs 49,000 for the respective trims, ex-Delhi.

Powering the Discover 100M is a 4-valve 102cc DTS-i engine, which is good for 9.3PS/9.02Nm and has a claimed top speed of 95kmph. Unlike the 100T, which has a 5-speed box, the 100M gets a 4-speed gearbox. Bajaj says that the M makes 25 per cent more power than its competition (read Dream Neo and Passion Pro). They also add that on-road, the M will give a fuel efficiency of 70-75kmpl. The 100M is built on a dual cradle steel frame and comes with an optional disc up front. As far as suspension is concerned, the M has telescopic front forks and gas-charged dampers at the rear. The electric starter is standard.
The 100M stays true to the new Discover design language which means a sleek looking body design, black alloy wheels and blacked out engine and cycle bits. The entire Discover range now has six different variants including the 100, 100M, 100T, 125, 125ST and 125T. Bajaj plans to add another Discover in the coming days but not in the existing segment. A more powerful Discover then?
