Volkswagen Virtus and Taigun get new features

Volkswagen has the Volksfest 2023, introducing special offers and attractive deals across its 189 showrooms and 133 service centres from 3 October to 15 November 2023. More importantly, the brand has bestowed new features in the Virtus and Taigun. In addition, the new Carbon Steel Grey Matte colour option is now available with the Virtus.

Updated Volkswagen Virtus and Taigun: Highlights

As a part of the recent update, the Virtus and Taigun come with powered front seats. Interestingly, both the driver and co-driver seat can now be electronically adjusted. Moreover, the carmaker has given them footwell lighting. The new features are offered in the range-topping Topline and GT Plus trim levels of the Virtus and Taigun. Additionally, the saloon and SUV now come equipped with a sub-woofer and amplifier in their top-of-the-line GT Plus variants across manual and DSG transmission options. Notably, for the powered front seats, Volkswagen will charge an additional premium of Rs 32,000 and up to 36,000 for the Virtus and Taigun, respectively. However, customers will not have to pay extra money for the subwoofer and amplifier.

Volksfest 2023: Special Offers

As a part of the nationwide Volksfest 2023, Volkswagen is offering free vehicle check-up, free vehicle pickup and drop facility (defined kilometres), and other door-step services via Volkswagen Assistance and Mobile Service Unit. Customers will also benefit from offers on service value pack, extended warranty, tyres, and roadside assistance. For the prospective buyers, the company is providing assured gifts upon test-driving and booking any Volkswagen vehicle during the Volksfest 2023.

Volkswagen Virtus and Taigun: Powertrain

Powering the Virtus and Taigun is a 1.5-litre, inline four-cylinder, turbocharged TSI Evo petrol engine producing 150PS and 250Nm. This motor comes with cylinder deactivation technology. It is mated to a six-speed manual and a seven-speed DSG automatic transmission. Also on offer is a 1.0-litre, three-cylinder turbocharged petrol unit that makes 115PS and 148Nm of torque. Coupled to this engine is a six-speed manual and a six-speed automatic transmissions.
