Volkswagen introduces Crest edition on Ameo, Polo and Vento in India

Most car manufacturers in India will be offering attractive schemes to clear out their stocks by the end of this year. Volkswagen India has introduced a special Crest edition on the recently launched Ameo sedan along with the select variants of the Polo and the Ameo. This special edition of the Ameo attracts an additional Rs 21,000-25,000 compared to its regular version, whereas that of the Polo is Rs 16,000. The Vento gets a special edition only on the Highline trim at Rs 3,000 more than the standard.

As a part of the Crest edition package, these vehicles will be offered in white shade with a contrasting matte black roof and detachable sunroof blinds. In addition, the Vento gets a black spoiler while the Ameo gets a subtle black line running on the boot lid.

The interiors have been updated with beige leather seat covers with diamond stitching, front centre arm rest along with storage space and special edition floor mats. In addition, the cabin gets a doorstep garnish.

Distinguishing the special edition models from the regular offerings will be the Crest badge that depicts a castle and the Aller River with a wolf standing between the castle's twin turrets. The Crest badge was first seen on the original Beetle manufactured post 1945 in Wolfsburg, Germany.

The Crest edition models will be available across all dealerships in the country in both petrol and diesel engine trims. The changes are merely cosmetic as all the three models do not get any mechanical changes over their regular versions.
