Tata Motors launches the XpresT EV for fleet customers, prices from Rs 9.54 lakh with FAME subsidy
Tata Motors commercially introduced the 'XpresT EV' for fleet customers on Wednesday, using subsidies from the Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Hybrid and Electric Vehicles (Fame) programme. The new Tata XpresT Electric Sedan range pricing starts at Rs. 9.54 lakh.
The all-new XpresT electric car features a 21.5 kWh and 16.5 kWh high-energy density battery with two range options, 213km and 165km (ARAI certified range under test conditions). The XpresT EV comes standard with zero tailpipe emissions, a single-speed automatic gearbox, twin airbags, and ABS with EBD across all versions.
The XpresT EV, which is aimed at mobility services, corporate and government fleet customers, will feature an optimal battery size and captive fast charging solution, ensuring outstandingly low cost of ownership while also ensuring safety and passenger comfort, making it a comprehensive and appealing proposition for fleet owners and operators.
The Tata XpresT can be charged from 0-80% in 90 mins for the smaller 16.5 kWh battery and 110 mins for the much larger 21.5 kWh. This can be done using fast charging or can also be normally charged from any 15 A plug point, Tata said. It will stand out from other Tata cars because of its high-quality black theme cabin, standard automatic temperature control and Electric Blue highlights across the interior and exterior.
The model range for the Tata XpresT EV will start at Rs 9.54 lakh for the XpresT 165 XM and a top of the range XpresT 213 XZ+ will cost from Rs 10.64 lakh, including Fame subsidy
