Skoda Auto Volkswagen export 1,232 Volkswagen T-Cross to Mexico

Skoda Auto Volkswagen India Private Limited (SAVWIPL) announced on Thursday that the country's Volkswagen T-Cross exports had begun. The Volkswagen T-Cross is the first car to be exported from India, based on the MQB-A0-IN platform.

From the port of Mumbai, the first batch of 1,232 Volkswagen T-Cross vehicles is being sent to Mexico.

SAVWIPL began its export programme in 2011 with 6,256 Volkswagen Ventos made in India for the South African market. Since then, the company's export market has steadily expanded, resulting in a Made in India presence in 61 nations spanning South America, Central America, Africa, the Indian Subcontinent, Southeast Asia, the Gulf Cooperation Council countries and the Caribbean area.

Until December 2021, the Group has shipped a total of 5,45,653 vehicles. SAVWIPL's main export markets include Mexico, South Africa, Central American nations (Columbia, Ecuador, Argentina), and ASEAN countries.
