Seat showcases new Toledo
Just days after the new Rapid was unveiled, sister concern Seat has revealed its own interpretation, the 2012 Toledo. The new version is four centimetres longer than its predecessor and has a wheelbase of 2602mm, 80mm more than before. All this extra space will benefit the rear seat passengers by the way of liberating more legroom in the cabin.
Unlike Skoda, Seat will be offering only three engine options - two petrol and one diesel. The 1.2-litre TSI will produce 75PS of power while the 1.4 makes 122PS(same engine as in the Indian Jetta). The oil-burning 1.6-litre TDI will produce an Indian Skoda Rapid and Volkswagen Vento rivalling 105PS. Seat also has plans to bring in a detuned 90PS version of the 1.6-litre TDI in 2013.
