Renault India gearing up to launch 5 new cars in the next 3 years

As part of its Renaulution 2024 program, Renault India has unveiled an ambitious goal to introduce five new vehicles to the nation by 2027. Renault India may have struggled in the Indian market in recent years due to a portfolio of only three slightly outdated models, but the French manufacturer is now pledging to fight back and is planning to join the SUV and electric segments.

New launches from Renault India

The five new products include completely new models as well as the next generation of Kiger and Triber. This is in addition to the €3 billion investment announced recently by Renault Brand for four important international hubs outside of Europe, including India.

Renault promises to re-enter the SUV market in India with more enthusiasm. As a result, two new SUVs for India have been promised: a B+ SUV and a C SUV. Although the firm did not explicitly name Duster, it is most probable that the new version of the vehicle released under the Dacia brand in Europe will also make its way to India. The third-generation Duster is built on the CMF-B platform, which underlies several Dacia, Renault, and Nissan cars and thus retains its boxy dimensions and SUV look. Read more about the new Duster.

Renault India has a significant local presence, which is backed by its Chennai manufacturing facility, Logistics & Technology Centre, and Design studio. The forthcoming EV from the French company will be a 'Make in India' product, which will assist in keeping the vehicle's pricing low.

2024 Renault Triber

Renault India has also refreshed its entire portfolio with the 2024 update. Starting with the Renault Triber, which starts from Rs 5.99 lakh and rises up to Rs 8.74 lakh. Namely available 4 variants RXE, RXL, RXT, and RXZ. In terms of upgrades, the MPV now has a new digital instrument cluster based on the Kiger, a wireless charger, a driver armrest, a PM2.5 air filter, LED cabin lights and powered ORVMs. In addition to the currently available colour selections, the redesigned Triber now has a new Stealth Black exterior colour.

2024 Renault Kwid

The Renault Kwid range starts from Rs 4.69 lakh and the top-end Climber variant is priced at Rs 6.32 lakh. The Kwid Climber now comes in five dual-tone exterior colour options, and the RXL(O) specification adds an 8-inch infotainment touchscreen and a 5-speed AMT option. To improve safety even further, all models now include a rear seatbelt reminder as well as 14 additional safety measures.
