Refreshed Lexus LC500h launched in India; prices start at Rs 2.39 crore

The India automotive market has witnessed a few major sports car launches lately, such as the snazzy 2023 BMW Z4 and the swish Ferrari 296 GTS. Lexus India has also joined the bandwagon with the launch of its refreshed LC500h, with prices starting at Rs 2.39 crore (ex-showroom). The update has brought a handful of subtle design changes and a couple of changes on the inside.

Updated Lexus LC500h Design

The update does not bring any major exterior changes to the sports car. But Lexus has given the two-door coupe a tweaked spindle grille and a set of new 21-inch alloy wheels finished in black. It continues to bear the angular LED headlamps, Nike-swoosh style daytime driving lights, 3D taillamps, and door-mounted ORVMs.

On the inside, the most significant update for the LC500h come with a new 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system. It also features a restructured the centre console. Other cabin features include an eight-inch digital instrument cluster, Alcantara upholstery, eight-way adjustable front seats with ventilation/heated function, Mark Levinson sound system, and wireless Apple CarPlay.

Updated Lexus LC500h Features

Lexus offers a bunch of features, such as a colour heads-up display, ambient lighting, adaptive variable suspension, in-cabin air purifier, cruise control, dual-zone temperature control, airbags (front, curtain, side, and knee), VSC, traction control, hill start assist, Lexus Dynamic handling System, and Vehicle Dynamics Integrated Management, among others.

Updated Lexus LC500h Powertrain

Powering the refreshed Lexus LC500h is a 3.5-litre V6 petrol engine paired with an electric motor and battery pack, making it a hybrid system. The petrol engine makes 299PS at 6,600rpm and 350Nm of torque at 5,100rpm, while the electric motor produces 179PS/300Nm. The combined power output is rated at 359PS.
