Nissan Terrano gets 6000 bookings in India
Priced starting at Rs 9.58 lakh onwards, the Nissan Terrano was launched yesterday. Nissan has now also informed that the Terrano has garnered around 6000 pre-bookings. Nissan had started pre-booking of Terrano on September 1 and customers could book the car by paying Rs 50,000.
Based on Renault's Duster, the Terrano comes from Renault-Nissan's production facility at Oragadam, Chennai. The Terrano has been made available in three engine options, namely 85PS diesel, 110PS diesel and 104PS petrol. Transmission options are a 5-speed and 6-speed manual gearbox.
The Terrano also gets similar features to the Duster. A few additional, optional features include steering mounted audio controls, neck pillows, upholstery options and a third row seat.
Considering that the cars coming out of the Renault-Nissan joint venture's stable have not posted great numbers, the Terrano could very well be exactly what the doctor ordered.
