MG Hector Anniversary Edition launched in India, prices start from Rs 13.63 lakh

MG Motor India has launched the MG Hector Anniversary Edition in India. This special edition is based on the lower-mid-spec Super trim and is priced at Rs 13.63 lakh for the petrol version and Rs 14.99 lakh for the diesel version. Both ex-showroom prices are the same as that of the standard Sharp trim of the Hector.

The Hector Anniversary Edition is visually no different from the standard Hector. However, on the inside, it comes with features not offered on other Hector variants. These are a wireless phone charger and an air-purifier which can sterilize bacteria and viruses. This kit has been sourced from Medklinn.

The Hector remains mechanically unchanged otherwise. The diesel engine continues to be the same 2.0-litre FCA-sourced unit that is also available in the Jeep Compass and Tata Harrier. In the Hector, this motor continues to put out 170PS and 350 Nm and is paired to a six-speed manual. The Hector is also available with a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine. This was updated to BSVI-spec earlier and makes 143PS and 250Nm. This version can also be had with a 48V mild-hybrid system. The petrol engine can be paired either with a six-speed manual or a six-speed DCT.

Notable features already available on the Super variant of the Hector are reverse parking camera, front parking sensors, silver alloys, shark fin antenna, roof rails, chrome inside door handles, cruise control, AC control on head unit, driver and co-driver vanity mirror, 10.4-inch infotainment touchscreen with Android Auto/Apple Carplay and six speakers and steering mounted controls.
