Kia launches special edition Picanto Quantum for UK markets
Kia Motors have launched a special edition Picanto Quantum. The Quantum is a three-door available in one colour- titanium silver metallic. Prices for the Quantum are 11,895 pounds for the manual version and 12,495 pounds for the automatic variant.
Amongst the numerous unique features in the Quantum are 15-inch alloys, LED indicator lights, automatic climate control, six-speaker audio, follow-me headlamps and body coloured side sill mouldings. An 'Urban Pack' adds features such as premium supervision instrument cluster, illuminated driver vanity mirror, LED interior lighting, and reverse parking sensors. Interior comfort is further optimized by the use of UV solar windscreen glass and privacy glass on the rear side windows and tailgate which help in reducing UV light entering the cabin and helps the driver too by reducing glare.
The engine powering the car is a 1.25litre unit churning out 85PS of maximum power and 120Nm of peak torque. Customers have the option of choosing between the four-speed automatic and five-speed manual transmissions. The Quantum with the manual gearbox completes the 0-100kmph sprint in a claimed 11 seconds and go on to a top speed of 170kmph with a fuel efficiency figure of 22.23kmpl.
The four-speed automatic version does the 0-100kmph run in 12.9seconds and has a top speed of 162kmph. Claimed fuel consumption is 17.84kmpl.

It has a top speed of 106mph and accelerates from 0-60mph in 11.0 seconds. The four-speed Quantum automatic is priced at £12,495. Its fuel consumption and CO2 emissions figures are 50.4mpg and 130g/km respectively, while the performance details are 0-60mph in 12.9 seconds and a top speed of 101mph.
