Jaguar XE diesel launched in India at Rs 38.25 lakh
The Jaguar XE is the British carmaker's answer to the Mercedes-Benz C-Class, BMW 3 Series and the Audi A4 in India. The Jaguar XE was presently available only in petrol. And now the company has added diesel models as well. The Jaguar XE diesel will be available in three trims - Pure, Prestige and Portfolio with the prices starting at Rs 38.25 lakh.
Jaguar dealerships across the country have already started accepting bookings for the XE diesel for a token amount of Rs 5 lakh. The deliveries of the same is expected to begin in this week. Interested customers can also do an online booking of the Jaguar XE on findmeacar.in
The Jaguar XE diesel is powered by a 2.0-litre Ingenium diesel engine that is also seen in the XF. Though this motor comes in two states of tunes, the XE diesel comes with the 180PS/430Nm motor. This motor is mated to an automatic transmission. The petrol model of the Jaguar XE also comes with a 2.0-litre motor that makes more power at 200PS. However, it makes 20Nm less torque when compared to the diesel model.
In terms of features, the Jaguar XE comes equipped with 10-way electrically adjustable front seats, rain sensing wipers, panoramic sunroof, Meredian entertainment system, park assist, dual-zone climate control and emergency brake assist. The Jaguar XE diesel competes with the likes of the Mercedes-Benz C-Class (Rs 39 lakh to Rs 45 lakh), BMW 3 Series (Rs 36.9 lakh to Rs 45.9 lakh) and the Audi A4 (Rs 40 lakh to Rs 43 lakh)
