Yamaha has brought in what looks like the most advanced transcontinental tourer called the 2018 Star Venture. The company will be starting deliveries of the same by August this year. The 2018 Yamaha Star Venture is the Japanese motorcycle manufacturer's response to the likes of the Harley-Davidson Super Glide, Honda Goldwing and the BMW K 1600 GTL. Priced at $24,999 (approximately Rs 16.10 lakh), the 2018 Yamaha Star Venture comes equipped with a 4-valve, twin-spark 1,854cc motor that puts out a healthy 170Nm. This motor also offers a strong low-end torque that can make the Star Venture cruise at 120kmph on sixth gear at an engine speed of 2,750rpm. The motor is mated to an all-new 6-speed gearbox that has been specifically designed keeping long-distance touring in consideration.
