The Mahindra NuvoSport is the successor to the Quanto and follows the same sub-4m recipe. Like its predecessor, it is aimed at buyers 'seeking adventure' and offers a spacious and practical seven-seat cabin. To read more about the NuvoSport head over to our detailed first drive review.

The aggressive face is the best looking angle on the NuvoSport

The side and rear are revised but clearly identifiable with the Quanto

Huge windows make the cabin feel airy but also produce an unproportionately tall look

Slim grille looks good and the hood scoop is functional, feeding cool air to the top mounted radiator

Large, electrically adjustable mirrors are from the Quanto and provide good vision

The door handles are also the same but we found different units require inconsistent levels of force to operate

The spare wheel cover is new and can be removed by popping out the black central cover which gives access to the bolts that hold it down

The tail lamps follow a similar design but are neatly integrated and the smoke effect looks good

Mahindra says the mHawk100 is a new engine but it looks almost identical to the mCR100 from the Quanto. It produces the same 100PS and 240Nm but Mahindra claims more refinement and lower weight

Handsome new wheels on the top models. All varaints now run 16-inch wheels with wider 215 section tyres

Keyless entry and go is not an option

The Quanto's dashboard is carried out but features a new 6.2-inch touchscreen display on the top N8 variant

5-speed AMT is an option on mid N6 and top N8 variants

The new steering wheel gets audio buttons on the left and cruise control buttons on the right

The new instrument cluster tells you how long the car has run with the aircon turned on, even when idling. A good feature for chauffeur driven owners

Eco mode, like in the TUV300 produces a noticeable drop in power

The touchscreen is crisp enough but positioned in the dash at an angle that makes it hard to read for both the front occupants. This photo is shot from the driver's viewing height

This display is also from the Quanto and offers useful features like outside/inside temperature, time, speed and gear position. It is a little hard to read in bright sunlight though

The front arm rests block the seatbelt buckle, a tedious ergonomics issue

The cabin is spacious, airy and features a flat rear floor.

Rough and unfinished plastic edges pop up in places

Door locks don't have the smoothest feel. Also note the inconsistent panel gaps

Plenty of stowage spaces across the cabin

The front door pockets get a bottle holder each

The boot offers flexible seat arrangement options

Upto 850-litres of space with all the seats up
