Hyundai opens booking for the new 2020 Verna
Hyundai has opened bookings for the new 2020 BSVI Verna on its website and dealerships across the country for a token amount of Rs. 25,000. The car will get a nip and tuck for its skin and there will be a range of gearbox and engine options available. The car will take on the likes of the upcoming Honda City, Skoda Rapid, Volkswagen Vento and Maruti Suzuki Ciaz. The 2020 Hyundai Verna is to expected be priced from Rs. 8 lakh to Rs. 15 lakh for the top variant.
The face of the car looks completely revised with sleeker LED headlamps and fog lamps. The fog lamps are placed in a triangular cavity which is new as well. The silver honeycomb cascade grille is wider and larger than before, so large that it is almost touching the headlamps. The side look of the car remains pretty much the same but a newly designed alloy wheel is visible. The rear gets chunky chrome-trimmed bumpers and LED tail lamps and parking light with the bigger Hyundai badging at the centre of the boot-lid.
The Verna will come with three BSVI engine options which are, the 1.0-litre TGDI petrol which we have seen on the Aura, Venue and Nios and this engine is expected to be tweaked to deliver a higher power figure of 120PS and 170Nm. The other two engines include 1.5-litre diesel and petrol engine, the petrol engine will be mated to a six-speed torque converter and the diesel to a six-speed CVT. A manual gearbox will also be offered for both the engines. The petrol engine is expected to make a peak power of 115PS and a peak torque of 114Nm and the diesel engine is expected to make a power of 115PS and 250Nm of torque.
The new 2020 Hyundai Verna comes with a long list of features such as front ventilated seats, wireless charger, sun-roof, USB charger, digital cluster, ECO coating and Arkamys sound system.
