Hyundai i20 Sportz (O) variant launched in India, priced at Rs 8.73 lakh
Hyundai India has disclosed the pricing for the new Sportz (O) edition of the i20 hatchback. This new optional model is based on the Sportz trim and costs Rs 8.73 lakh (ex-showroom) in monotone paint, while dual-tone paint costs Rs 8.88 lakh. The newly launched variant may be booked either at an authorized Hyundai dealership or online through the brand's official website.
The new Sportz (O) model has a Rs 35,000 premium above the normal Sportz trim. For the extra expense, it gains three new features: a wireless charger, a leatherette finish on the door armrests, and an electronically adjustable sunroof. Previously, the sunroof was only available on the pricier Asta and Asta (O) variants
The Hyundai i20 Sportz (O) is also well-equipped with features including a height-adjustable driver seat, cruise control, a rear parking camera, and 16-inch steel wheels. Among the safety features are six airbags, ABS with EBD, a tyre pressure monitoring system, hill start assist, reverse parking sensors and camera, and ISOFIX child seat anchors.
Apart from the new Sportz (O) variant, the i20 can be had in five other variants, namely, Era, Magna, Sportz, Asta, and Asta (O).
In terms of powertrain, the engine remains the same, with the new Sportz (O) type powered by a naturally aspirated 1.2-litre petrol engine producing 83PS and 115Nm. There are two transmission options: manual and iVT; however, the Sportz (O) type only comes with a manual. Customers interested in the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine have to upgrade to the i20 N Line.
