Hyundai Creta facelift spied ahead of early 2024 debut

The Hyundai Creta has dominated the mid-size SUV sector; however, with competitors gaining new technologies such as ADAS, it is time for the Creta to be updated. The new 2024 Creta facelift will be unveiled by Hyundai early next year. The revised version will have a new appearance and feel, as well as several new features. Some of the primary aspects of the 2024 Creta makeover have been seen in detail ahead of its release; let's take a closer look.

2024 Hyundai Creta: Design

The front fascia is mostly hidden but from whatever we can see there seems to be a few revisions. However, like with the global-spec Creta, the one that will be launched here will have the brand's new parametric jewel pattern for the grille and vertically stacked LED headlights on the bumper.

Expect a revised tailgate, a new bumper, and new LED taillights, maybe linked by an LED light bar like seen on other Hyundai SUVs - but nothing is evident on this test mule. There has also been no word on the inside, although a redesigned dashboard design with a significant step up in amenities might be on the way.

2024 Hyundai Creta: Powertrain

The 1.5-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engines will be carried over to the 2023 Creta, while the 1.4-litre turbo-petrol engine will be phased out. It is, however, likely to be replaced with the strong 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine that we now see in the updated Seltos with 160PS of max power and 253Nm of peak torque. Transmission choices for this engine include 6iMT and 7DCT.

2024 Hyundai Creta: Interior

The cabin area will see the most changes on the inside. The Creta facelift will include a revamped dashboard as well as tweaks to the shape of the AC vents. A panoramic display with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 10.25-inch digital instrument dashboard will be one of the most significant changes.

Hyundai plans to begin production of the updated Creta at its Chennai facility in mid-January 2024, with a market debut in February 2024. It will compete with the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, MG Astor, Toyota Hyryder, Kia Seltos and Honda Elevate.
