Hero Vida launched in India, prices start from Rs 1.45 lakh

Hero has officially entered the EV space with the introduction of the Hero Vida electric scooter. Available in 2 trims, the Hero Vida V1 Plus is priced at Rs 1.45 lakh while the Vida V1 Pro is priced at 1.59 lakh.

A telescoping fork and a monoshock suspension system are included with the Hero Vida. It has a front disc brake and a rear drum brake for stopping.

The Vida V1 features a fairly appealing design language that successfully blends classic and futuristic aesthetics. It has a slick fascia that displays an LED headlamp configuration that resembles the face of a robot more.

The 3.44kWh detachable battery pack for the V1 Plus has a remarkable 143km of IDC range. On the other hand, the V1 Pro has a remarkable 165km of range and a slightly larger 3.94kWh detachable battery pack. Be aware that the range is probably to decrease under real-world circumstances.

A rapid charger can charge the batteries from empty to 80 percent in less than 65 minutes as per Hero. Customers can also access the customizable modes, where they can adjust how much regen and performance you would like on the scooter

It also has a split seat configuration, a retractable pillion seat, and a sizable 26-litre storage capacity.

The features list includes full-fledged navigation, a fully digital TFT touchscreen instrument console, customisable ride modes, two-way throttle, cruise control, turn-by-turn navigation, parking assist, emergency alert and a key fob for keyless access. It also gets trip analytics, scooter diagnostics, and document storage.

The Hero Vida will take on the likes of the Bajaj Chetak, TVS iQube, Ather 450X Gen 3, Ola S1, and the Revolt RV400.
