Goodyear launches Assurance TripleMax tyre in India

Goodyear has just launched a new tyre that promises safety and efficiency. The company says that its new tyre, the Assurance TripleMax reduces braking distance by 2 metres on wet roads.

The improved braking performance of the tyre is courtesy of the company's Hydrogrip technology that bestows the tyre with key features that include a "functionalised" polymer tread, large surface area and biting edges. Together, they provide improved grip and control, says Goodyear.

The company also says that the new Assurance TripleMax tyre has low rolling resistance and hence contributes to the fuel savings. In addition, the tyre is also built to withstand the rough and varied Indian terrain.

The Assurance TripleMax tyre is available for rims of sizes 14-inch and 16-inch.

Goodyear Launches Assurance TripleMax in India for Power Braking; Reduces Braking Distances by More Than 2 meters on Wet Roads
New Delhi, April 23, 2015 – With consumer driven needs at the center of its tyre innovations, Goodyear India has rolled out the Assurance TripleMax, the first tyre to boast of Goodyear's latest HYDROGRIP Technology® that delivers drivers maximum grip for maximum assurance. Goodyear Assurance TripleMax reduces braking distances by more than 2 meters on wet roads¹, thereby taking the worry out of driving. Driving on Indian roads can be a challenge due to a variety of uncontrollable factors. Uncertainties faced could include wet road conditions, rough surface conditions and unforeseen pot holes, speed bumps and breakers, and pedestrians crossing the road unexpectedly. Designed especially for mid and premium passenger vehicles, keeping the Indian road conditions and local consumer needs in mind, the new Goodyear Assurance TripleMax tyre provides drivers with increased peace of mind and power braking, particularly when driving in the rain or on wet roads. "Setting a new standard in tyre innovation, the Assurance TripleMax uses HYDROGRIP Technology®, a Goodyear proprietary technology that allows drivers to reduce braking distances by more than 2 meters on wet roads compared to other tyres in the market today¹," said P.K. Walia, VP Consumer Business, Goodyear India. "HYDROGRIP Technology® provides maximum wet grip through an innovative new tread compound, maximum control via a larger surface area contact patch meaning there is more rubber on the road, and maximum braking ability by way of biting edges with large block elements. All of this combined results in a safer and more comfortable ride." HYDROGRIP Technology® – provides power braking and reduces braking distances by more than 2 meters on wet roads¹ Goodyear's proprietary HYDROGRIP Technology® in the Assurance TripleMax tyre allows drivers to reduce braking distances by more than 2 meters on wet roads¹. HYDROGRIP Technology ® is a combination of the following three elements: 1. Maximum Wet Grip: An innovative functionalized polymer tread compound with improved molecular bonding gives the Assurance TripleMax tyre the extra edge to take grip to a whole new level on wet and dry roads. 2. Maximum Control: Larger surface area contact and optimized pressure distribution on key block elements on the Assurance TripleMax tyre improves rubber contact with the road, giving drivers more control during braking. 3. Maximum Braking Ability: Equipped with biting edges with large block elements, the new Assurance TripleMax tyre has an increased road contact area for extra security when braking. In addition to significantly increasing grip and shortening braking distances, the Goodyear Assurance TripleMax tyre is developed with two other key consumer needs in mind; an increase in fuel savings and a high level of tyre durability. Incorporates Fuel Saving Technology™ Goodyear's Fuel Saving Technology™ in the Assurance TripleMax lets drivers go further for less and reduce emissions, improving fuel efficiency. This is achieved by reducing the tyre's rolling resistance; the lower the rolling resistance of a tyre, the less energy the car needs to push it forward. Extra Durability for Tough Indian Road Conditions Built to last longer, the Goodyear Assurance TripleMax gives drivers that extra mile with added protection and increased tyre durability. The Assurance TripleMax has two ply constructions in the sidewall area for added protection against road hazard. Reinforced and stronger carcass cords provide more resistance to potholes and impacts. Advanced finite element analysis modeling ensures tyre internal components are stress free thus ensuing better longevity. Available Sizes Available in 14" to 16" rim diameters and in multiple sizes, the Goodyear Assurance TripleMax tyre delivers drivers of a wide range of mid-sized passenger vehicles maximum grip for maximum assurance.
