Auto Expo 2023: Hyundai Ioniq 5 launched in India, prices start from 44.95 lakh

Hyundai Motors India has finally launched the Hyundai Ioniq 5 in India at the Auto Expo 2023. Unlike the Kia EV6, the Ioniq 5 will be assembled in India which also helps lower its asking price down to just Rs 44.95 lakh (Rs 16 lakh cheaper than the EV6).

Keeping in mind that booking for the Ioniq 5 had already begun, this introductory price is only available to the first 500 customers of the EV.

Hyundai offers the Ioniq 5 in just its rear-wheel drive guise and a 72.6kWh. The car produces 219 PS and 350 Nm of torque. It also returns a range of 631km on a single charge.

The modern and minimalist cabin of the Ioniq 5 features two displays - a 12.25-inch driver information screen and a 12.25-inch infotainment touchscreen system. Level 2 ADAS, a panoramic sunroof, a sliding centre console, a two-spoke steering wheel, and electrically adjustable front seats with lumbar support and a relaxation function are all standard on the 2023 Hyundai Ioniq 5.

Additionally, the Hyundai Ioniq 5 gets a 3.6kW vehicle-to-load capability that powers up electrical items like laptops and smartphones. Two ports are available for using this function: one is outside the vehicle, next to the charging port, and the other is under the back seats.
