Ather introduces new theme for the Ather 450 dashboard

Ather has announced the seventh Over The Air upgrade (OTA) for the Ather 450 dashboard. It is a new dark theme for the dashboard of the Ather 450 scooter for enhanced readability and riding quality during the night. The update also includes a more responsive keyboard and it can save previous riding modes. The earlier OTA updates included 'Guide me home lights', real-time ride efficiency indicators and Eco mode.

Owners can manually choose the theme from the setting menu or opt for the automatic feature that switches to the Dark theme by itself from 6 pm to 6 am. The dark theme regulates the amount of light on the screen and helps the rider with a smooth ride. The company has also added a feature where the scooter remembers the last riding mode and the rider doesn't have to select it again and again when the scooter is turned on. The company has made these adjustments after continuously interacting with the existing customers to provide them with better riding experience. The UI of the dash has also been updated for seamless riding experience.

The elder sibling 450X is powered by 6 kW permanent magnet motor supported by a 2.9 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, with a claim of 0-40 kmph in 3.3 sec. The scooter comes in four driving modes- Eco, Ride, Sport and Warp mode with a real-life range of 85 km as claimed by the company along with a maximum range of 116 km in ideal riding conditions. Ather offers its scooter with a subscription model and currently the brand is present in Chennai and Bengaluru. The new OTA is available for both the cities.

Swapnil Jain, Co-founder and CTO at Ather Energy said, "We are happy to take yet another step to enhance the Ather 450's rider experience. We designed the Ather products to improve with time rather than lose value once purchased and the owners have played a big role in prioritizing features and updates so we can continuously make improvements. The growing Ather community challenges us time and again and I am glad that we are able to continuously enhance their ownership experience. We are excited about bringing this new generation of scooters to more people in the country."
