All Mercedes-Benz G-Class variants to get digital cockpit as standard internationally
As a model year update for the G-Class internationally, Mercedes-Benz has made the widescreen digital cockpit with twin 12.3-inch screens standard across the range. Additionally, Mercedes' G manufaktur personalisation programme now offers three new colours, as well as extended possibilities for combining certain exterior and interior packages.
For customers looking to go dune bashing in the G-Class, the new model includes a Desert drive program. With ESP, throttle response and gear shift points tuned specifically for driving over sandy terrain, it should take the capabilities of the G-Class even further. Standard equipment across the range now also includes the Parking Package with reversing camera, as well as an improved security package with tracking for stolen vehicles extended to three years at no extra cost.
Further, with revised interior packages, even standard G-Class models can be specified with trim which was earlier exclusive to the AMG package, or G 63 model, such as the silver chrome window switches, or sun visors finished in DINAMICA, Mercedes' take on Alcantara. The G-Class is available in the G 350d, G 400d and G 63 models internationally, with power outputs ranging from 286PS to 585PS. In the India lineup, the G 350d joined the G 63 model, at a starting price of Rs 1.5 crore before options, compared to the AMG's starting price of Rs 2.18 crore, all prices ex-showroom.
