2023 Hyundai Verna spotted fully uncovered ahead of next month launch

The all-new upcoming Verna will be unveiled by Hyundai next month, and the company has already released information on a number of its features. Now, we have access to a brand-new spy image of the Hyundai Verna, which is offered as the Hyundai Accent in various overseas markets.

The new-generation Verna exhibits Hyundai's Sensuous Sportiness design identity in its distinctive front-linked light feature, parametric design language, and dynamic proportions. This a demonstration of Hyundai's dedication to creating cars with dynamic, futuristic looks that adhere to their design ethos.

The distinctive tail-lamp design and the attached LED light strip with crystal-like inlays are also confirmed by the unmasked spy photo. Two vertical extensions on either side are added to the taillamps, which looks remarkable. The back of the new Verna sort of sticks out, particularly the area over the taillamp that also holds a large Hyundai logo and resembles the new 2D version now found on the Grand i10 and the updated Aura in India.

Two sets of engines are available for the new Hyundai Verna. One is the tried-and-true 1.5-litre NA MPi engine, which produces 115PS and 144 Nm of torque. Either a 6-speed MT or an IVT is available with this engine (Intelligent Variable Transmission). The new 1.5-litre GDi petrol engine, which produces 160PS and 260 Nm of torque, is the more thrilling engine. Its engine will be coupled to a 6-speed manual transmission or a 7-speed DCT.

We already know that Hyundai will sell the Verna in EX, S, SX, and SX (O) trims. The top-spec models should have amenities like a branded sound system, sunroof, powered front seats, a digital driver's display, ventilated seats, and a 360-degree camera, so expect the automaker to spare no expense in providing luxury extras.

The middle-of-the-grille radar verifies ADAS capabilities, which may include options like adaptive cruise control and blind spot detection. There should also be several airbags, ABS, EBD, rear parking sensors, and a reversing camera in the safety net.

The new Verna will continue to compete against the current crop of midsize sedans, such as the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Volkswagen Virtus, Skoda Slavia, and the impending Honda City facelift.
