2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno facelift launched at Rs 6.35 lakh (ex-showroom)

One of the best selling cars in the country, the Maruti Suzuki Baleno finally gets its long-awaited facelift. The new Maruti Suzuki Baleno has finally been launched and prices start at Rs 6.35 lakh (ex-showroom).

The 2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno doesn't look all that different from the outgoing car. Yes, a new set of LED DRLs and a new grille are onboard, but the overall look is quite similar, which is not a bad thing as the Maruti Suzuki Baleno is one of the most desirable hatchbacks in the country.

The new Maruti Suzuki Baleno also comes with LED fog lamps and a new set of 16-inch alloy wheels. The rear end isn't all that much changed either but a new set of brake lights does make the car stand out from the outgoing model.

Under the hood, the new Maruti Suzuki Baleno will be powered by a 1.2-litre petrol engine with an idle start/stop function that produces 90PS and 113Nm of torque. Maruti Suzuki also promises a class-leading fuel economy of 22.35 km/l for the manual transmission variant and 22.94 km/l for the AGS variant.

The biggest changes to the Maruti Suzuki Baleno are on the inside as Maruti Suzuki has equipped the new Baleno with first in class heads-up display and a 360-degree camera. The New Age Baleno comes with a 9-inch SmartPlay Pro+ Infotainment system. The new infotainment system comes with a High-Definition display, an intuitive user interface with advanced Voice Assist. It will also boast premium sound acoustic tuning through "Surround Sense" powered by ARKAMYS.

Suzuki Connect, the next-generation telematics technology, is standard on the New Age Baleno. It has over 40 features for car safety and security, remote operations, driving behaviour and status alerts. Customers can remotely access and operate door locks, headlamps OFF, hazard lights, alarms, and many more features through their smartphone or smartwatch.

The New Age Maruti Suzuki Baleno is also equipped with 6 airbags (driver, co-driver, side and curtain). The Maruti Suzuki Baleno is secured with ESP and Hill Hold Assist. Other safety features include ABS with EBD, Driver & Co-driver seat belt reminders, rear parking sensors & a high-speed alert system as standard across all variants.

The New Age Baleno can also be owned through Maruti Suzuki Subscribe at an all-inclusive monthly subscription fee starting from Rs 13,999 onwards.

The new Maruti Suzuki Baleno now goes on sale with the Sigma variant offered only in a manual gearbox at Rs 6.35 lakh, while the top of the line Alpha variant starts at Rs 8.99 lakh for the manual and Rs 9.49 lakh for the automatic. All prices are ex-showroom.
