2021 Ford Ecosport facelift spied ahead of launch

Ford EcoSport is the best-selling Ford in the Indian market and since its launch in 2013, Ford has constantly given it updates to stay competitive. Ford recently launched the EcoSport SE without a spare wheel, making it an affordable trim level. The facelifted model will carry a host of design changes along with new features.

The EcoSport Facelift will boast a large grille at the front, flanked by LED headlights as per the recent spy shots. The LED DRLs will be placed on the bumper in a triangular shape which will also double up as turn indicators. Most of the major changes lie on the front whereas the side profile sees a new set of alloy wheels. However, the rear profile will be more or less unchanged with the boot-mounted spare wheel.

On the inside, the EcoSport facelift could receive a new textured dashboard, maybe of a lighter shade to improve the sense of space. The Ford EcoSport is already a fairly-loaded sub-compact SUV but Ford may cram in more features to take on the Korean rivals. Other than that, the EcoSport will remain unchanged mechanically. With that being said, it will continue to come with 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engine options whereas the 1.2-litre mStallion petrol engine has been dropped as the alliance with Mahindra was called off.
