2020 Royal Enfield Meteor 350 variants explained: Fireball vs Stellar vs Supernova

Royal Enfield has launched the all-new Meteor 350 today, a cruiser motorcycle that replaces the popular Thunderbird. The Meteor 350 is priced at Rs 1.75 lakh, thereby undercutting its rivals the Benelli Imperiale 400, Honda CB 350, Jawa Perak and the Bajaj Dominar 400. Here's a link to our specifications and pricing comparison story. In comparison to the Thunderbird X, the model that was discontinued due to the BSVI emission norms, the Meteor 350 gets a fresh design, an all-new platform, modern navigation feature with TFT - first in the segment and an all-new 350cc engine. Check out our road test review to know the real-world performance of the 2020 Royal Enfield Meteor 350. The cruiser is available in three trims, namely the Fireball, Stellar and the Supernova. What's the difference in these variants? We tell you.

Nope, that's not the Royal Enfield Thunderbird X. This is the base variant of the Royal Enfield Meteor 350, called the Fireball that does have a strong resemblance to the TBX. This particular trim of the Meteor 350 comes in two shades, Red and Yellow. We'd definitely suggest Yellow, cause no other motorcycle in the segment comes in that shade. Should look sporty and distinct. Further, the Meteor 350 Fireball gets regular alloys in black with body-coloured lining, black exhaust and no back touring screen or backrest. However, RE's Tripper Navigation will be available as standard on all variants and so is the dual-channel ABS.

2020 Royal Enfield Meteor 350 Stellar
Price: Rs. 1.81 lakh, ex-showroom

Positioned above the Fireball is the Meteor 350 Stellar variant. In comparison to the base variant, the Fireball trim comes with black alloys sans the stripe but chrome-finished exhaust and backrest. Also, the RE badging on the fuel tank is 3D unlike the basic vinyl on the Fireball trim. The colour options on the Stellar include red, blue and black. We expect the shade of blue to feel more premium than the other two options.

2020 Royal Enfield Meteor 350 Supernova
Price: Rs. 1.90 lakh, ex-showroom

The top-of the line Royal Enfield Meteor 350 Supernova comes equipped with a touring screen, machined alloys, 3D logo, dual-tone premium paint, body-coloured seats and a backrest. The dual-tone paint job, wherein one can choose between Supernova Blur and Brown, does give a sense of premium-ness to the whole design, which does make it feel distinct in the segment.

However, it does not matter which variant of the Royal Enfield Meteor 350 you settle in for as the company is offering over 5 lakh personalization options on this cruiser. Just download the RE app on your smartphone or visit the MakeItYours page on the website and you can virtually try and of the options, before you lock in and finalise your buying decision.
