2019 Ford Figo variants and details leaked ahead of its official launch

The updated Ford Figo for the model year 2019 will be launched in the coming week in India. The new hatchback will be based on the same platform as the current Ford Figo, however, it will get a new engine option from the family's Dragon range of petrol engine.

The car was spotted at a dealership earlier this week and displayed its exterior as well as interior changes. The 2019 Ford Figo now gets a restyled bumper and chrome inserts which surround the honeycomb grille and foglamps. Inside, the dashboard is restyled and touch-operated infotainment system is mounted centre stage. The multimedia system should be equipped with the recent version of the Ford's Sync 3 system. The centre console, steering mounted controls and door handles are finished in piano black.

Mechanically, the car will be offered with three engine options - 1.2-litre and 1.5-litre petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel engine with a five-speed manual gearbox. A six-speed torque converter automatic gearbox will be offered with the 1.5-litre petrol engine exclusively.

The 2019 Ford Figo will be offered in three variants - Ambient, Titanium and Titanium Blu.

The 1.2-litre petrol and the1.5-litre diesel variants are offered in all the trims, however, the 1.5-litre petrol automatic is exclusively offered in the Titanium trim. the Ford Figo will rival the likes of Volkswagen Polo, Hyundai i10 Grand and the Maruti Suzuki Swift. The facelift is expected to bump up the ex-showroom price of the Ford Figo by Rs 20,000 to 50,000 across variants.
