2012 Los Angeles Show 2014 Mitsubishi Outlander
Mitsubishi has debuted its new 7-seater Outlander at the 2012 LA Auto Show. The new SUV ditches the rather aggressive looking EVO face for a more somber design. Mitsubishi says that this has resulted in the coefficient of drag being reduced by a significant percentage while the use of high-tensile steel has ensured a drop in weight by approximately 90kg. Mitsubishi also claims that the 2.4-litre 4-cylinder engine mated to a CVT transmission makes it the one of the most fuel-efficient SUVs in its category. The premium GT variant has a 3.0-litre 24-valve V6 engine which is paired to a 6-speed auto transmission.
Inside, the 2014 Outlander has a new navigation system, 710-watt Rockford-Fosgate sound system, Forward Collision Mitigation systems, adaptive cruise control and lane departure warning.
