Vinfast VF 6 and VF 7 bags 5-Star BNCAP safety rating
The Vinfast VF 6 and VF 7 has secured 5-star safety rating for both child and adult occupant protection in the Bharat NCAP crash test.

- The VF 6 secured 27.13 / 32.00 for adult occupant
- The VF 7 secured 28.54 / 32.00 for adult occupant
For the VF6, the driver's chest protection was weak in the frontal offset deformable barrier test, the protection for the right shin was also marginal for the same test. But for the head, feet, and legs, the protection was rated good. Similarly, for the passenger's chest and shin, the protection was adequate. The side pole impact test rated good protection for all driver's head, torso and hips.

The VF 6 scored 11.13 out of 16.00 for the frontal offset deformable barrier test and 16.00 out of 16.00 for the side moveable deformable barrier test. For child protection, the SUV scored 44.41/ 49.00 overall, the dynamic score stood at 22.41 and CRS installation score was 12.00 along with a 10 out of 13 in the vehicle assessment test. The test was conducted with both 3-year old and 18-month old child dummies rearward-facing child seats positioned in the rear outboard seats.

The test results for the VF 7 SUV stands at 12.54 out of 16.00 for the frontal offset deformable barrier test and 16.00 out of 16.00 for the side moveable deformable barrier test. Similar to the VF 6's crash test results, the driver's chest area was rated weak for protection and both the shins got adequate protection. The SUV secured good protection for the head, torso and hips in the side side moveable deformable barrier test.

The child occupant protection overall score stood at 45.25/ 49.00. The VF 7 SUV secured a dynamic score of 23.25 and CRS installation score of 12.00 along with a vehicle assessment score of 10.00. The test was conducted with both 3-year old and 18-month old child dummies rearward-facing child seats positioned in the rear outboard seats. Both the SUVs get ISOFIX anchorages
