Upcoming 2023 Kia Seltos facelift spotted testing in Hyderabad
The Kia Seltos SUV is about to get a facelift and is anticipated to debut in India by the middle of 2023. The Seltos makeover was made public in June 2022 at the Busan Motor Show in South Korea. However, testing of the vehicle has already been discovered in Hyderabad before the unveiling.
With updates to the front grille, headlamps, LED DRLs, and fog lamp housing, Seltos' facelift looks a lot more modern. The styling of the SUV is angular, clean, and causes people to like it immediately. All of the parts are flawlessly blended throughout the curved body panelling. Pluton Blue, Fusion Black, and Valais Green are three new colour options that have increased the appeal.
The 140PS, 242 Nm, 1.4-litre turbo-petrol engine will be replaced by a new 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine that produces 160PS and 253 Nm for the Kia Seltos facelift. The transmission choices for the present turbo-petrol engine include a 7-speed DCT and a 6-speed manual, although it is unknown which ones will be offered with the new engine.
The 1.5-litre petrol engine with 115PS and 144 Nm of torque as well as the 1.5-litre turbo-diesel engine with 115 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque are also anticipated for the Seltos. Both engines come with a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed iMT gearbox, while the CVT and 6-speed automatic gearbox options are available for the gasoline and diesel, respectively.
The dashboard's interior sees only minor design adjustments. The 10.25-inch touchscreen is housed in the same enclosure as a new 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster. It's also anticipated that the rotary dial would replace the traditional gear lever on the facelifted Seltos with an automated transmission.
The facelifted Seltos will gain improved driver assistance features including blind spot collision warning as well as speed limit assist and alert, which is a first for Kia India. A front collision prevention system with pedestrian and cyclist identification will also be included in the Seltos makeover.
