TVS teases Raider Marvel Edition ahead of 11 Aug launch
TVS has teased the Raider Marvel Edition via its social media handles, hinting that the motorcycle will soon be available with a special edition variant or variants similar to the Ntorq 125 special edition versions: Spider Man, Captain America, Black Panther, and Thor. Notably, it is said that the launch of the new Raider Marvel Edition is slated for 11 August, 2023. Meanwhile, the bike maker is also gearing up for the launch of its all-new sporty electric scooter on 23 August, 2023.
TVS Raider Marvel Edition: What to expect?
The new Raider Marvel Edition is expected to boast unique graphics and paint scheme depending on the Marvel character. Since TVS had chosen Spider Man, Captain America, Black Panther, and Thor for its Ntorq 125, the upcoming Raider Marvel Edition, going by the teaser, could be available with either Spider Man, Captain America, Iron Man, or Doctor Strange edition. The teaser shows two Raider motorcycles - one painted in red, while another in bluish shade. That said, the Raider Marvel Edition is likely to carry the same design and styling as the standard model.
Currently, the Raider comes in four variants: Drum, Single Seat, Disc, and SmartXonnect. TVS is expected to offer the new special edition model based on the Raider's SmartXonnect variant.
TVS Raider Marvel Edition: Features and Specifications
The Raider Marvel Edition is likely to retain the LED headlight and daytime running lights, a Bluetooth-enabled digital cluster, and single-channel ABS with disc brakes at both ends, conventional telescopic front forks, and a rear monoshock. It also gets two riding modes: Eco and Power. Meanwhile, the digital display comes with smartphone connectivity via the TVS SmartXonnect app, offering turn-by-turn navigation, music control, call and SMS alerts, voice assist, and more.
TVS Raider Marvel Edition: Powertrain
Powering the TVS Raider is 124.8cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine mated to a five-speed gearbox. This unit generates makes 11.38PS at 7,500rpm and 11.2Nm of torque at 6,000rpm.
TVS Raider Marvel Edition: Prices
We believe TVS' upcoming Raider Marvel Edition to command a slightly higher premium over the on-sale standard models. The prices of the Raider 125 range between Rs 86,803 and Rs 1 lakh (both ex-showroom).
