Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) announced that the Innova Hycross has surpassed a new milestone of 50,000 units sold since its inception. The Innova Hycross debuted in November 2022, providing a considerable update over the Innova Crysta as well as a powerful hybrid version, thereby ending the diesel option.

For the third-generation Innova, Toyota modified the MPV's DNA by shifting from a body-on-frame construction to a monocoque chassis and adopting a front-wheel drivetrain (FWD) instead of rear-wheel drive (RWD). The Toyota Innova Hycross is based on the Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA) platform and comes in five variants: G, GX, VX, VX(O), ZX, and ZX (O).

A major reason for the Toyota Innova Hycross's popularity is its service benefits. The Innova Hycross offers a warranty of 3 years/100,000 kilometres with an option of extending the warranty up to 5 years/220,000 kilometres, 5-years free roadside assistance, attractive financial schemes and 8 yrs/160,000 kilometres warranty on the Hybrid battery

The Toyota Innova Hycross uses a 2.0-litre Atkinson cycle petrol motor along with an electric motor coupled with an e-CVT in the mix for a combined 186PS. This powertrain has an ARAI-certified economy of 23.24 kmpl. The hybrid powertrain only is available in four trims – VX, VX(O), ZX and ZX(O).

The lower-spec G and GX models of the Hycross come with a 2.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol unit with 174PS and 202 Nm, again paired with a CVT.

The Innova Hycross' interior looks like a more contemporary space with a flat horizontal design, a large free-standing 10-inch touchscreen with a slim panel for AC control and a dash-mounted gear lever. The instrument cluster is new too with a new 7-inch MID as is the steering wheel. The interior is done in a brown and black colour theme with silver highlights.

There are seven and eight-seater seating configurations with the second-row seats being available with leg rests. The third-row space has also been enhanced. The features list has been significantly enhanced with a panoramic sunroof, cooled seats, powered driver's seat, ambient light, electronic parking brake, wireless charging, four USB C-ports, second-row climate control, auto-hold, electronic parking brake, connected tech, rear sun shades and drive modes. The car also offers Toyota Safety Sense ADAS functions.

Prices for the Toyota Innova Hycross start from Rs 19.77 lakh and go all the way up to Rs 30.68 lakh (ex-showroom). Waiting periods for the Innova Hycross are rumoured to be between 6 months for the lower trims and 12 months for the higher variants.
