Tork announces Rs 10,000 price hike for Kratos electric bike

Two-wheeler EV start-up Tork Motors has announced a price hike of Rs 10,000 for its Kratos electric motorcycle effective from 1 January, 2023. As a result, the standard variant will be priced at Rs 1,32,499, whereas the R variant will cost Rs 1,47,499 (all ex-showroom and after subsidy in Maharashtra).

The Pune-based electric two-wheeler maker has stated that it has increased the prices owing to a steep rise in input cost. It is to be noted that this is the first price increment for the Tork Kratos since its launch in the country in January this year.

Tork Kratos Highlights

The Kratos is available in four paint options: white, black, blue, and red. The highlights of the electric roadster include all-LED lights, a fully digital instrument cluster; riding modes: eco, city, sports; regenerative braking, reverse mode, USB port, smartphone connectivity with in-app navigation, hazard lights, geo-fencing, and fast charging, among others.

Tork Kratos Range, Battery, Performance

Powering the Kratos is a 4kWh, IP67-rated battery pack paired with a PMAC electric motor. It promises a claimed travel range of 180km, as per the IDC cycle. The standard variant makes 7.5kW (10PS) and 29Nm of torque, while the higher-spec R variant produces 9kW (12PS) and 38Nm of torque. Both versions provide a top speed of 100kmph and 105kmph, respectively.
