The Infiniti QX80 seems to have been on sale forever and the SUV has started to feel its age for a while now. So, after having been in production for 14 years, the QX80 has finally been replaced by an altogether new model, with a strong twin-turbocharged V6 engine, dramatic external appearance and luxurious cabin that could make it punch above its segment.

2025 Infiniti QX80: Design

The new QX80 seems to have taken all the criticism the previous model had gotten very seriously. The 2025 Infiniti QX80 is completely new from the ground up. An illuminated Infiniti emblem is stationed in the double-arch grille. It has the latest iteration of the company's double-arch grille, and the design of the LED daytime running lights is intended to conjure sensations of a bamboo forest.

The door handles lie flush with the body until unlocked and alloy wheel sizes go all the way up to a massive set of 22-inches. A full-width taillight bar, composed of over 300 LEDs, evokes lights reflected on water.

2025 Infiniti QX80: Powertrain and Suspension

The original 5.6-litre V8 has been replaced by a smaller, but more powerful, 3.5-litre V6. The inclusion of two turbochargers boosts the QX80's power output to 450PS and 700Nm of torque, representing considerable gains over the previous powerplant. It comes with a 9-speed automatic transmission and is powered by the same engine as the GT-R supercar.

The less-priced Pure and Luxe variants come with rear-wheel drive as standard, with all-wheel drive available as an option. The Sensory and Autograph trim levels come equipped with all-wheel drive. All models have driving modes including standard, eco, sport, snow, towing, and personal.

Infiniti claims the body-on-frame design offers 57 percent more lateral rigidity than the previous generation, and when fitted with air ride suspension, the QX80 lowers itself 1.2 inches at faster speeds for improved economy. When parked, it may lower 2.8 inches to facilitate entry and exit. Dynamic Digital Suspension can also be selected. This technology analyzes the road surface and vehicle motions, adjusting the QX80 to provide a more controlled and pleasant driving experience.

2025 Infiniti QX80: Interior and Features

The cabin has more internal space and soft layered materials with ambient lighting. Two 14.3-inch monitors are built into the dashboard, with a third temperature screen separating the driver and passenger seats in front of the big armrest. The computerized driver cluster may be customized in Classic, Elegant, and Enhanced modes. It may be operated with the jog wheel to the right of the steering wheel. When the driver prefers to keep their hands on the wheel, they may use that dial to operate the centre touchscreen instead.

Assistant, Maps, and the Play app store all come preloaded with Google Built-in, as do voice control and ambient lighting. Infiniti now provides heated and cooled seats in the first two rows, with heated seats available only in the third row.

The new Infiniti QX80 has standard safety systems such as Predictive Forward Collision Warning, Automatic Emergency Braking, Blind Spot Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, and Lane Departure Prevention. Trailer Blind Spot Warning is now available while pulling trailers up to 33 feet, according to Infiniti.
