Tata Punch CNG Powertrain

The Altroz iCNG, which debuted with twin-cylinder technology in May of this year, has gotten an overwhelming reaction. Tata Motors' dual-cylinder arrangement, as seen in the Altroz CNG, is used in the Punch CNG. To free up storage space, a massive 60-litre tank has been divided into two smaller tanks, each 30 litres in volume, and placed beneath the boot floor.

The Punch CNG is powered by the same 1.2-litre, three-cylinder engine found in the petrol-powered Punch. This engine generates 86PS and 113Nm of torque while running on gasoline, and 73 PS and 103Nm of peak torque when running on CNG. It is only available with a 5-speed manual transmission.

Tata Punch CNG Exterior and Features

The Punch iCNG is built on the current ALFA Architecture platform, which has been shown to be safe by gaining a 5-Star Global NCAP adult safety certification at launch. The outward design of the Punch CNG remains unchanged, with the exception of the inclusion of the 'i-CNG' emblem on the tailgate.

The new Tata Punch CNG has an electric sunroof, six airbags, a twin-cylinder CNG tank, direct start in CNG mode, an auto switch function between fuels, an auto switch function between fuels, a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, automatic climate control, and 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. The Exter CNG is one of the model's competitors.

The Tata Punch locks horns with the all-new Hyundai Exter but with the added CNG powerplant at hand, we expect it to pull one up on its rival.
