Tata Nexon Facelift spotted testing and details revealed

Tata Motors is getting ready to debut the Nexon facelift, and details about the next small SUV are starting to emerge. The facelift version of the sub-four-metre SUV was also recently spotted entirely undisguised, ahead of its formal unveiling.

Tata Nexon Facelift: Design

The Nexon redesign seems to be finished in the Royal Blue exterior colour option that was just added to the Nexon lineup. It sports split headlamps, vertically placed headlights, new front bumpers, and a sleeker upper grille up front. The side profile appears to be comparable to the current model. The facelifted Nexon, on the other hand, will almost certainly include new alloy wheels. Roof rails, a shark-fin antenna, turn indicators on the ORVM, and a sunroof are among the other apparent features.

The Nexon facelift's rear end has been significantly redesigned. The C-shaped protrusions, identical to those visible in the front, house the reflectors and are pushed to the edges, creating the illusion of a wider SUV. The back design is noticeably flatter than the previous model's cascading shape.

Tata Nexon Facelift: Powertrains

The Nexon makeover will retain the original 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine and 1.5-litre diesel engine. Gearbox options remain the same - 6-speed manual and 6-speed AMT - however the petrol engine now has a 5-speed manual and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. As a result, the Nexon facelift 1.2 petrol is projected to be offered with four different transmission options.

The diesel will retain the 6-speed manual and AMT transmission. With the Nexon makeover, the turbo petrol engine gains 125 PS of power and 225 Nm of torque and as for the diesel powertrain, it will remain unchanged at 115PS and 260Nm of torque.

Tata Nexon Facelift: Interior

We anticipate significant modifications to its feature set as a result of this makeover. The Nexon might have a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a fully digital driver's display if it gets a makeover. Ventilated front seats, automated climate control, an electric sunroof, and wireless charging are also available.

It might include up to six airbags and a 360-degree camera for safety. It may also receive advanced driving assistance system (ADAS) capabilities, making it the first subcompact SUV to do so. It already has electronic stability control as well as a tyre pressure monitoring system.

The Tata Nexon facelift is set to be released in mid-September, and it will compete with small SUVs such as the Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Renault Kiger, Nissan Magnite, Kia Sonet, and Mahindra XUV300. With the comprehensive list of improvements, we expect costs to rise significantly over the outgoing model, which is now priced between Rs 8 lakh and Rs 14.54 lakh.
