Tata launches doorstep passenger car service solutions in India

Tata Motors India launched mobile service vans known as the Tata Care Mobile Service Van for customers on the go. The service programme is launched across 42 locations in different cities of India.

Tata's Mobile service van can provide the customers of Tata Motors' passenger vehicle with periodical service - schedule free and paid service at a customer's doorstep through a team of specially trained mechanics.

The Mobile Service Van (MSV) features, tool crib comprises set of hand tools, drivers and spanners, sockets and bits, multimeter, clamp meter, hydrometer and thermometer, creeper, jack stand, jack and stoppers, oil dispensers and waste oil collectors, pneumatic tooling, power generator/inverter, air compressor, car washer with water storage tank also eco wash kit, heavy duty wet and dry vacuum cleaner, camp table and chairs, telematics system.

To avail the doorstep service, customers can book an appointment on Tata Motors Service website. Some vehicles are easy to locate as they are fitted with trackers to provide real-time data to dealerships. In addition to MSVs, online booking also offers to pick up and drop facility of the vehicle from the residence or the office of the customer.

Commenting on Tata Care, Subhajit Roy, Senior General Manager and Head Customer Care, Tata Motors said "Tata Care is an initiative that is aimed at providing convenience and ease to customers for their basic servicing needs across India. It aims to provide convenience to those customers, who are unable to get their vehicles serviced regularly due to the paucity of time or their inability to visit the service centres. Keeping our customers at the centre of our business and encouraging them to keep their vehicles healthy, we have curated customized offerings that will work towards strengthening and improving our customer service initiatives. With an aim to better our services, Tata Motors will continue to innovate and build solutions which are aimed at increasing convenience and offering world-class after-sales services."
