Tata Harrier gets new XZS variant, prices start from Rs 20 lakh

Tata Motors has added a new high-spec variant to the Tata Harrier line-up. The new Harrier XZS variant sits between the top XZ and XZ Plus variants, with prices starting from Rs 20 lakh for the single-tone manual. This goes up to Rs 21.6 lakh for the auto XZAS Dark Edition.

Tata Harrier XZS variant features, prices

The Tata Harrier XZS can be had in manual and auto guise, and in single or dual-tone paint options. The Dark Edition styling pack is also available. Prices for the Harrier XZAS automatic start from Rs 21.3 lakh. The dual-tone paint comes at a Rs 20,000 premium and the Dark Editon at a Rs 30,000 premium.

New features added to the Harrier XZS over the XZ are the 17-inch dual-tone alloys, panoramic sunroof, powered driver's seat with lumbar adjustment and auto-dimming inside mirror. The rest of the features list is carried over from the Harrier XZ and includes features like auto headlamps and wipers, climate control, drive modes, off-road traction modes, an 8.8-inch touchscreen with JBL audio, cruise control and a semi-digital instrument cluster.

Tata Harrier engine, specifications

The Tata harrier continues with the same engine and gearbox combination. It continues with the Stellantis-sourced 2.0-litre diesel that puts out 170PS and 350 Nm, paired with a six-speed manual or a six-speed torque converter.

Tata Harrier prices, rivals

Prices for the Tata Harrier start from Rs 14.65 lakh for the base XE variant and go up to Rs 21.95 lakh for the XZA Plus Dark Edition. The Harrier competes with numerous cars like the Mahindra XUV700, Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, MG Astor, VW Taigun and Skoda Kushaq.
