Tata Nexon i-CNG, Harrier EV and Curvv displayed at Bharat Mobility Expo 2024

The Nexon i-CNG has been debuted as a concept at the Bharat Mobility Expo in New Delhi. Along with the Nexon i-CNG, the Curvv and Harrier EV are also on display. Let's quickly examine what we know about these concept vehicles.

Tata Nexon i-CNG

The Nexon i-CNG concept is based on the newly facelifted Nexon SUV and has looks and features nearly comparable to the petrol/diesel-powered Nexon. Tata has unveiled the Nexon i-CNG concept, which has a 1.2-litre turbocharged Revotron engine. This will make Nexon India's first turbo-petrol-powered CNG.

Nexon i-CNG, like the other CNG cars in the Tata Motors portfolio, will have a twin-cylinder system in the boot space, allowing for a substantially larger cargo room than single-cylinder arrangements. Nexon i-CNG will sport features such as a single ECU, direct start in CNG mode, modular air filter, and auto transition between fuel and CNG.

Once released, the Nexon would be the first car in India to offer such a diverse range of powertrains, including petrol, diesel, CNG, EV, manual, AMT, and DCT choices. The Nexon range currently starts from Rs8.10 lakh onwards.

Tata Curvv and Tata Harrier EV

Apart from the Nexon iCNG, Tata Motors has also displayed the Harrier EV and the Curvv SUV. The Curvv SUV will be available later this year and the Harrier EV in its production form is set to follow that.

The Curvv too will be available in petrol, diesel and EV avatars. The production version of the car will have a towering posture and a dynamic silhouette thanks to a steeply tapered coupe-like roofline. The front end is undoubtedly very Tata but the rear is something we've never seen from the brand before. It rolls on newly designed 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels.

The Harrier EV was last showcased at the Auto Expo last year and is now again present at the Bharat Mobility Show. The display model at the exhibition seems to be more production-ready than ever. Tata Motors has yet to dish out any sort of details about the Harrier EV but for now, all we know is that the car will look exactly what we assumed an electric Harrier would look like and that it will be launched only after the Curvv.
