Tata Harrier and Safari Red Dark Edition unveiled with ADAS features
At Auto Expo 2023, Tata presented the Harrier Red Dark edition and the Safari Red Dark edition. The Harrier and Safari versions now include a bigger, better touchscreen, ADAS technology, and a preview of features that will probably be included in the standard models.
The Red Dark version, like the Dark edition, has a completely black exterior that Tata refers to as "Oberon Black," however it is a somewhat different tint. It has 18-inch alloy wheels with red brake callipers and a subdued red grille insert.
A suite of ADAS features is also added to the updated SUVs, including autonomous emergency braking, blind spot detection, lane departure warning, lane change alert, high beam assist, forward collision warning, rear collision warning, rear cross-traffic alert, blind spot detection, and traffic sign recognition.
The upgraded infotainment system from Tata is also making its debut here. At 10.25 inches, the touchscreen is now bigger than before, and it still comes with the same nine-speaker JBL audio system. Additionally, the semi-digital instrument cluster included in standard variations is replaced with a new, fully digital one on the Harrier and Safari Red Dark editions. A 360-degree camera is furthermore novel.
Other amenities include ventilated front seats and an electrically adjustable driver's seat with memory. The second row of seats in the three-row Safari may also be ventilated, and the ambient lighting around the panoramic sunroof and motorised front passenger seat also have "Boss" modes that let the back passenger slide the seat forward.
Mechanically both cars remain the same, which means they feature a 2.0litre diesel engine that produces 170PS and 350 Nm.
