Rolls-Royce has introduced the Spectre in India for Rs 7.5 crore (ex-showroom) before any options. The Spectre is Rolls' first electric vehicle, and it marks the first step toward the British brand's goal of being all-electric by the end of 2030. Bookings for the ultra-luxury car are also underway.

Rolls Royce Spectre: Design

The Spectre's design adheres to the Rolls-Royce legacy. It is said to be the successor of the Phantom coupe and features a large hood, a sleek profile, and a fastback tail. The Spirit of Ecstasy ornament is aerodynamically constructed, which helps the Spectre achieve an outstanding drag coefficient of 0.25. It has 23-inch alloy wheels and vertical taillights that seem elegant and clean.

The grille's relaxed angle and polished stainless steel finish significantly increase Spectre's visibility. The grille is gently lighted to confirm Spectre's expression after dark, with 22 LEDs lighting up the backside of each of the vanes

The fastback tail, paired with the seamless glasshouse, improves aerodynamic efficiency at the back. The fastback roof panel, which runs from the A-pillar to the baggage compartment, is the biggest single-body panel ever installed on a Rolls-Royce.

Rolls Royce Spectre: Powertrain

The Spectre has a large 102kWh battery pack with a range of 530km on the WLTP test. The Spectre's dual electric motor produces 593 PS and 900 Nm of torque, and despite its nearly 3-tonne weight, it accelerates from 0 to 100 kmph in 4.5 seconds.

A 195kW charger can charge the Spectre battery from 10 to 80 percent in 34 minutes, whereas a 50kW DC charger takes 95 minutes.

Rolls Royce Spectre: Interior

On the interior, it clearly has a starry liner on the ceiling, but it also now extends to the door pads, which have 4,796 gently lighted stars. When the Spectre is not in use, the LED 'Spectre' nameplate on the passenger side dashboard panel fades away effortlessly.

The Spectre has a digital driver's display based on Rolls-Royce's newest 'Spirit' software platform. A digital display greets the co-driver, with the option of displaying digitized art or a customized welcome animation chosen by the owner. Obviously, because this is a Rolls Royce, you can personalize every aspect of the vehicle by selecting your favourite colour theme, trim, and even having your name embroidered on the seats.
