Road Safety Week: Suzuki and Delhi Transport Department encourage two-wheeler safety

Suzuki Motorcycle India Private Limited has joined hands with the transport department of  Delhi in an effort propagate safe driving habits at the on-going Road Safety Week. Held between January 11 and 17, 2015, the program focuses on two-wheeler safety by spreading awareness through screening of educational films and distribution of relevant literature.

Highlighting the vulnerability of two-wheeler users,  Atul Gupta, executive vice president, Suzuki Motorcycle India Private Limited said, "As a responsible automobile company, it is imperative that we are active participants in the initiative that educates and encourages people to drive safely. Two-wheeler drivers are at a higher risk on the roads. The key to safe driving is a combination of defensive driving, adherence to traffic rules, situational awareness and common road sense. Suzuki is pleased to be associated with an initiative that may save the lives of countless motorists and pedestrians."

SUZUKI TWO WHEELERS TO SUPPORT DELHI TRANSPORT DEPARTMENT'S 'ROAD SAFETY WEEK' IN DELHI


Suzuki Motorcycle India Private Limited (SMIPL), a subsidiary of one of the world's leading two-wheeler manufacturers Suzuki Motor Corporation, Japan, is proud to be associated with 'Road Safety Week', organized by the Delhi Transport Department. The Transport Department Zonal Office, Vasant Vihar has organized the 'Road Safety Week' from January 11 - 17, 2015, within the national capital, to increase awareness of the importance of safe driving. A variety of educational banners, safety posters, safety films, pocket guides and leaflets related to road safety will be distributed to drivers and pedestrians. Suzuki two-wheelers is actively supporting all the activities undertaken during this week, which are meant to encourage and promote safe and responsible driving.
