Renault Kiger RXT (O) variant gets additional features; prices start at Rs 7.99 lakh

Renault has carried out a few major revisions in the Kiger line-up, while it has also lowered the price of one of its mid-spec variants. Therefore, the Kiger RXT (O) MT now costs Rs 7.99 lakh (ex-showroom), plus gets a handful of additional features. Notably, this variant was previously priced at Rs 8.25 lakh (ex-showroom).

Updated Renault Kiger RXT (O) MT: Details

With a new price tag of Rs 7.99 lakh (ex-showroom), the Kiger RXT (O) now comes with LED headlamps and taillamps, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for the eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and 16-inch diamond cut alloy wheels. It is to be noted that the aforementioned features were previously only available with the top-spec trim levels.

Updated Renault Kiger RXZ: Offers

Along with a revised price of the RXT (O), Renault is offering special offers on the Kiger RXZ trim, such as cash benefits up to Rs 10,000, Rs 20,000 as an exchange bonus, corporate discounts of up to Rs 12,000, and loyalty benefits up to Rs 49,000.

Updated Renault Kiger: New Standard Features

As a part of the BS6 phase-2 update, the French automaker has given a few new features to all the Kiger variants, namely Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Hill Start Assist (HSA), Traction Control System (TCS), and Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS). Notably, all these features are available as standard in the Kiger.

Updated Renault Kiger: Powertrain

Powering the Kiger is a 1.0-litre, inline-three cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine and 1.0-litre, three-cylinder, turbocharged petrol motor. Both units now comply with BS6 phase-2/RDE emission norms. The 1.0-litre naturally aspirated engine makes 72PS at 6,250rpm and 96Nm of torque at 3,500rpm, whereas the 1.0-litre turbo unit produces 100PS at 5,000rpm and 152Nm of torque between 2,200rpm and 4,400rpm. Transmission options include a five-speed manual, AMT, and CVT automatic.
