Nissan Magnite Red Edition bookings open ahead of July 18 launch
Nissan India has now revealed a new special edition of the Nissan Magnite SUV. This is called the Nissan Magnite Red Edition and bookings have opened ahead of a July 18 launch. As the name suggests, the compact SUV gets red-coloured exterior highlights and more features
Nissan Magnite Red Edition exterior changes
The Nissan Magnite Red edition gets a red-accented front grille, as well as red cladding on the front bumper cladding, wheel arch and body side cladding. There are aslo body graphics, a bootlid garnish, LED scuff plates and a Red Edition badge.
Nissan Magnite Red Edition interiors, features
The Nissan Magnite Red edition is based on the Magnite XV variant which sits below the top XV premium variant. Notable features here are the 8.0-inch touchscreen with wireless Android Auto/Apple Carplay, a 7.0-inch digital instrument cluster, LED DRLs, 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, push-button start/stop, LED fog Lamps, vehicle dynamics control, traction control system, Brake Assist, Hill Start Assist.
The Red Edition further adds a wireless charger and ambient lighting while all 2022 Nissan Magnites in this variant now also get a PM 2.5 air filter and shark-fin antenna.
Nissan Magnite Red Edition engines, fuel efficiency
The special edition Nissan Magnite will be available in both the engine options. The base engine option for the Nissan Magnite is the 1.0-litre, three-cylinder, naturally-aspirated petrol making 72PS at 6,250 rpm and 96 Nm at 3,500rpm. This motor pairs with a five-speed manual. The headlining motor though is a 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbo-petrol that makes 100PS at 5,000 rpm and 160 Nm at 2,800-3,600rpm. The torque output drops to 152 Nm at 2,200-4,400 rpm. The ARAI certified fuel efficiency figure for the Magnite is 18.75 kmpl for the N/A petrol, 20 kmpl for the turbo-manual and 17.7 kmpl for the turbo-CVT. The Nissan Magnite has a 4-star ASEAN NCAP safety rating.
Nissan Magnite Red Edition expected prices
Prices for the standard Nissan Magnite XV start from Rs 7.61 lakh and go up to Rs 9.75 lakh. Expect the Magnite Red Editon to come at a Rs 50,000 to 70,000 premium over this.
