Nissan Magnite CNG now gets AMT transmission

The Nissan Magnite is now available with CNG retrofitment for both manual and AMT transmission and the company offers a 3-year or 1 lakh km warranty.

The Nissan Magnite is offered with two engine options a 1.0-litre petrol engine that comes coupled to a five-speed manual/AMT transmission. The engine pushes 72 PS at 6250 rpm and 96 Nm of peak torque at 3400-3600 rpm. And a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine that is mated to a five-speed manual/CVT gearbox. The engine produces 100 PS at 5000 rpm and 160 Nm of torque at 2800-3600 rpm with the manual and 152 Nm of peak torque at 2200-4400 rpm with the CVT transmission.

The CNG filling valve is now integrated within the existing fuel-filling lid, replacing the earlier engine-compartment placement. This makes refueling more convenient and the CNG Magnite comes with 3 year or 1 lakh km warranty.

And due to revised GST rates, the cost of the retrofit-CNG for the Magnite has reduced by Rs 3,000, it will cost Rs 72,000.

In terms of exterior features, the Nissan Magnite gets 16-inch diamond cut alloys, LED tail lamps, LED projector auto head lamps, LED DRLs, functional roof rails, and LED fog lamps to name a few.

The cabin features include an 8-inch infotainment unit with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, ambient lighting, 4-speaker Arkamys sound system, cruise control, and a 7-inch digital dash to name a few.

The safety suite includes 6 - airbags, traction control, 360-degree camera, ESC, hydraulic brake assist, hill start assist, ABS with EBD, bezel-less auto dimming IRVM, and 3-point seat belt with seat belt reminder.

The Nissan Magnite starts at Rs 6.34 lakh for the base variant with manual transmission and the top model will set you back by Rs 9.70 lakh for the automatic variant. The top model in CNG guise will cost you Rs 9.20 lakh.

The Nissan Magnite rivals the likes of the Tata Punch, Renault Kiger, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Maruti Suzuki Fronx, Tata Nexon and Mahindra 3X0 to name a few.
